Privacy Policy (GDPR)

1. Controller and categories of data

DGL Tech Labs, a French SARL with its registered office at 61 rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France, is the data controller for processing carried out through Parentello. Only data needed to operate the service is collected: identification information (first name, last name, email), login credentials, family and child information, content exchanged between co-parents (messages, photos, documents, calendar and expenses), health and school information entered voluntarily, subscription information, and technical security data. After consent, the website's marketing pages may also produce pseudonymous browsing data for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. These tools are disabled in the mobile apps.

2. Purposes and legal bases

Processing required for accounts, family organization, selected sharing, support and Premium management is mainly based on performance of the contract. Security, abuse prevention and service improvement may rely on DGL Tech Labs' legitimate interests; billing also meets legal duties. Consent is requested where required, including for non-essential audience measurement, advertising-campaign evaluation and certain optional data or features.

AI and receipt-reading features run only when the user requests them. Content needed for the request is then sent to the relevant provider. Results are assistance to be checked, with no automated decision producing legal effects for the user.

3. Retention Period

Data is retained while the account is in use, then deleted or anonymized according to its nature. In-app deletion immediately disables the account and removes strictly private content; where a family history has already been shared, items needed for the other parent's history may remain under the identity “Former co-parent”. Email requests are handled within the statutory period, normally one month. Accounting records and data needed to establish legal claims may be kept for legally required periods.

4. Data Sharing

DGL Tech Labs never sells personal data. Data may be processed by service providers strictly necessary to operate the service: OVH (hosting), Apple and Google (mobile purchases and subscriptions), an email delivery provider, and OpenAI only when a user explicitly starts an artificial intelligence feature. After consent on the website, Google Analytics and Meta may also receive pseudonymous browsing data limited to audience and campaign measurement. Only the data required for the stated purpose is transferred.

Shared content is available to the other parent according to the selected visibility. Providers act within their assigned role and applicable contractual safeguards. Where processing involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area, DGL Tech Labs applies the transfer mechanism required by GDPR.

5. Data of Minors

Parentello is intended for adults responsible for family organization, not independent use by children. Adults entering information about a minor must be authorized and limit it to what is necessary. Health and other sensitive data is not sold or used for advertising profiles and must not be entered in the general assistant unless explicitly needed by the feature being used.

6. Security

DGL Tech Labs applies risk-appropriate measures including HTTPS/TLS in transit, password hashing, server-side authorization, rate limiting, and encryption at rest for certain sensitive data and files. Application data is hosted by OVH in France.

While we make every effort to protect your information, we remind you that no internet transmission or storage system is completely inviolable.

7. Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights: access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation of processing, and data portability.

To exercise these rights, contact DGL Tech Labs at contact@dgltechlabs.com. Identity verification limited to what is necessary may be requested. DGL Tech Labs responds within the GDPR period, normally one month, subject to an authorized extension for a complex request.

See also the Parentello account deletion page.

8. Cookies

The Parentello website uses technical cookies necessary for the service and, after consent, Google Analytics to measure audience and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and registrations attributable to campaigns. The Meta Pixel is limited to marketing and registration pages and does not receive form fields or family-space data. Non-essential cookies can be refused through the consent banner. The Parentello mobile apps do not enable Google Analytics or advertising cookies and do not use data for advertising tracking.

9. Artificial intelligence, OCR and decisions

The Parentello Assistant, calm rewriting, file assistance, schedule assistance and receipt reading may use OpenAI when voluntarily started. Do not transmit unnecessary sensitive information. Results may be wrong and must be checked; Parentello does not make legal, medical or parental decisions for users.

10. Contact, complaint and changes

For questions about your data, contact DGL Tech Labs at contact@dgltechlabs.com or use our contact form. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL. This policy may change; significant updates are announced by email, notification or when accessing the service.
