Deleting your Parentello account
Last updated: 26 August 2026
Parentello is published by DGL Tech Labs, a limited liability company (SARL). This page explains how to delete your personal account, what happens to shared family history, and the separate process for erasing data common to both parents.
From the app
- Sign in to Parentello.
- Open 'Settings'.
- Select 'Delete my account'.
- Confirm with 'Delete permanently'.
Deletion is carried out immediately: your session is closed, your credentials are disabled and the account can no longer be used.
Without access to the app
Send the request from the email address linked to the account, stating the holder's first and last name. DGL Tech Labs may ask for identity verification limited to what is necessary to protect the account against fraudulent deletion.
Requests received by email are handled within the period set by the GDPR, in principle one month. This period may be extended in the cases allowed by the regulation; you will then be informed.
Data deleted or anonymized
- identity, email address, login credentials and personal preferences;
- notifications, push subscriptions, invitations and technical tokens;
- notes, folders, photos and documents strictly private to the account;
- Parentello access and the link between the subscription and the account.
When family history is also shared with another parent, some common items may be kept in anonymized form so that they can preserve their own history. They then appear under the identity 'Former co-parent' and are no longer tied to an active account. Some billing data may be kept for the period required by law.
Deleting shared family data
Deleting your account does not automatically erase the history already shared with the other parent's account. To permanently delete the family's common data, use the dedicated action on the Family page. When two active accounts are linked, both parents must confirm. This operation is irreversible and separate from simply 'Separating'.
Renewable subscriptions
Deleting your Parentello account does not automatically cancel a subscription still managed by Apple or Google Play. Cancel the renewal in the relevant Store's settings before deleting the account.
